Hadith 19982

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، عن الضَّحَّاكُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ يَسَارٍ , قَالَ : وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " اطَّلَعْتُ فِي النَّارِ ، فَإِذَا أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِهَا النِّسَاءُ ، وَاطَّلَعْتُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، فَإِذَا أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِهَا الْفُقَرَاءُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I looked into Hell and saw that the majority of its inhabitants were women, and I looked into Paradise and saw that the majority of its inhabitants were the poor.
