It is narrated from Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Modesty always brings goodness. After hearing this hadith from him, Bashir bin Ka'b said: It is written in the books of wisdom that modesty brings dignity and tranquility. Hazrat Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I am narrating to you the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and you are talking about your scriptures. From now on, I will not narrate any hadith to you. People began to say, O Abu Najid! He is a good man, and they kept reassuring him until he became silent and started narrating hadith again.
