Musa bin Salamah says that I asked Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), "If you do not find the congregational prayer in the mosque and you are a traveler, how many rak'ahs will you pray?" He replied: "Two rak'ahs, because this is the Sunnah of Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him)."
