It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that we traveled with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) between Makkah and Madinah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) did not fear anyone except Allah, yet even so, until we returned, he performed the prayer as two rak‘ahs (shortened the prayer).
