ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 1990

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ : " أَنْتَ تُفْتِي الْحَائِضَ أَنْ تَصْدُرَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَكُونَ آخِرُ عَهْدِهَا بِالْبَيْتِ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : فَلَا تُفْتِي بِذَلِكَ ، قَالَ : إِمَّا لَا ، فَاسْأَلْ فُلَانَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةَ هَلْ أَمَرَهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِذَلِكَ ، فَرَجَعَ زَيْدٌ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يَضْحَكُ ، فَقَالَ : مَا أُرَاكَ إِلَّا قَدْ صَدَقْتَ " .
Tawoos says that once I was with Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them), Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him, "Do you give the fatwa to a menstruating woman that she can return before performing the Farewell Tawaf?" He said, "Yes!" Sayyiduna Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Do not give this fatwa." He said, "As for not giving the fatwa, then you may ask such-and-such Ansari woman whether the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave her this command?" Later, Sayyiduna Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) laughing and said, "I consider you truthful."
