Hadith 19844

It is narrated from Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man bit another man's hand, and when he pulled his hand away, the biter's front teeth broke and fell out. Both of them brought this dispute to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared it invalid and said: "One of you bites his brother like a bull." Hiyaj bin Imran once came to Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: "My father has vowed that if his slave comes under his control, he will cut off one of his limbs." He replied: "Go to your father and tell him to give the expiation for his oath and not to cut off any of his limbs, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to encourage charity in his addresses and forbade mutilation." Then he went to Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him), and he also said the same.
