Hadith 19806

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " غِفَارُ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهَا ، وَأَسْلَمُ سَالَمَهَا اللَّهُ ، مَا أَنَا قُلْتُهُ ، وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ قَالَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Barzah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: May Allah keep the tribe of Aslam safe and forgive the tribe of Ghifar. I am not saying this myself; rather, Allah Almighty has said this.
