حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ شَاذَانُ , أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَيَّاشٍ , عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا مَعْشَرَ مَنْ آمَنَ بِلِسَانِهِ , وَلَمْ يَدْخُلْ الْإِيمَانُ قَلْبَهُ ، لَا تَغْتَابُوا الْمُسْلِمِينَ ، وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا عَوْرَاتِهِمْ ، فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ يَتَّبِعْ عَوْرَاتِهِمْ يَتَّبِعْ اللَّهُ عَوْرَتَهُ ، وَمَنْ يَتَّبِعْ اللَّهُ عَوْرَتَهُ يَفْضَحْهُ فِي بَيْتِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Barzah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once said: O people! Who have believed with their tongues but faith has not entered their hearts, do not backbite the Muslims and do not seek out their faults, for whoever seeks out their faults, Allah will seek out his faults, and whomever Allah seeks out his faults, He will disgrace him in his own home.
