Hadith 19775

حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ جَارِهِمْ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ حُمَيْدَ بْنَ هِلَالٍ يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُطَرِّفٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ أَبْغَضَ النَّاسِ أَوْ أَبْغَضَ الْأَحْيَاءِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَقِيفُ , وَبَنُو حَنِيفَةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Barzah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that the most disliked people in the sight of the Prophet (peace be upon him) were the tribe of Thaqif and Banu Hanifa.
