ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 1977

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ سَالِمٍ أَبُو جَهْضَمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَبْدًا مَأْمُورًا بَلَّغَ ، وَاللَّهِ مَا أُرْسِلَ بِهِ وَمَا اخْتَصَّنَا دُونَ النَّاسِ بِشَيْءٍ لَيْسَ ثَلَاثًا ، " أَمَرَنَا أَنْ نُسْبِغَ الْوُضُوءَ ، وَأَنْ لَا نَأْكُلَ الصَّدَقَةَ ، وَأَنْ لَا نُنْزِيَ حِمَارًا عَلَى فَرَسٍ " ، قَالَ مُوسَى : فَلَقِيتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ حَسَنٍ ، فَقُلْتُ : إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي كَذَا وَكَذَا ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ الْخَيْلَ كَانَتْ فِي بَنِي هَاشِمٍ قَلِيلَةً ، فَأَحَبَّ أَنْ تَكْثُرَ فِيهِمْ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was a servant under command. By Allah! Whatever message he was sent with, he conveyed it, and he did not tell us anything specifically, apart from the people, except for three things: First, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) specifically commanded us to complete the ablution; second, that we should not eat charity; and third, that we should not mate a donkey with a mare. The narrator says that I met Abdullah bin Hasan and told him that Abdullah bin Ubaidullah narrated this hadith to me. He said that the number of horses among Banu Hashim was few, and they wanted to increase them.
