حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُحَادَةَ ، عَن عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَرْوَانَ ، عَن هُزَيْلِ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ ، عَن أَبِي مُوسَى ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ السَّاعَةِ فِتَنًا كَقِطَعِ اللَّيْلِ الْمُظْلِمِ ، يُصْبِحُ الرَّجُلُ فِيهَا مُؤْمِنًا ، وَيُمْسِي كَافِرًا ، وَيُمْسِي مُؤْمِنًا ، وَيُصْبِحُ كَافِرًا ، الْقَاعِدُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْقَائِمِ ، وَالْقَائِمُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْمَاشِي ، وَالْمَاشِي فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ السَّاعِي ، فَاكْسِرُوا قِسِيَّكُمْ ، وَقَطِّعُوا أَوْتَارَكُمْ ، وَاضْرِبُوا بِسُيُوفِكُمْ الْحِجَارَةَ ، فَإِنْ دُخِلَ عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ بَيْتَهُ ، فَلْيَكُنْ كَخَيْرِ ابْنَيْ آدَمَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are coming ahead of you tribulations like the dark portions of the night. In that time, a man will be a Muslim in the morning and a disbeliever in the evening, or a Muslim in the evening and a disbeliever in the morning. In that time, the one who is sitting will be better than the one who is standing, the one who is standing will be better than the one who is walking, and the one who is walking will be better than the one who is running. Break your bows, cut your bowstrings, cling to your houses, and if someone enters your house, then become like the best son of Adam (Abel)."
