حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَن قَتَادَةَ ، عَن أَبِي تَمِيمَةَ ، عَن أَبِي مُوسَى ، قَالَ وَكِيعٌ : وَحَدَّثَنِي الضَّحَّاكُ أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ أَبِي تَمِيمَةَ ، عَن أَبِي مُوسَى ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ صَامَ الدَّهْرَ ، ضُيِّقَتْ عَلَيْهِ جَهَنَّمُ هَكَذَا " ، وَقَبَضَ كَفَّهُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: For the person who always fasts, Hell will become so narrow for him—saying this, he closed his palms into fists to demonstrate.
