حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ يَعْنِي شَيْبَانَ ، عَن لَيْثٍ ، عَن أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى ، عَن أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الظُّهْرِ ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ ، فَقَالَ : " مَكَانَكُمْ " ، فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الرِّجَالَ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ آمُرَكُمْ أَنْ تَتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ، وَأَنْ تَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا " ، ثُمَّ تَخَطَّى الرِّجَالَ ، فَأَتَى النِّسَاءَ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ آمُرَكُنَّ أَنْ تَتَّقِينَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، وَأَنْ تَقُلْنَ قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا " ، ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَى الرِّجَالِ ، فَقَالَ : " إِذَا دَخَلْتُمْ مَسَاجِدَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَأَسْوَاقَهُمْ أَوْ : أَسْوَاقَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَمَسَاجِدَهُمْ وَمَعَكُمْ مِنْ هَذِهِ النَّبْلِ شَيْءٌ ، فَأَمْسِكُوا بِنُصُولِهَا ، لَا تُصِيبُوا أَحَدًا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ، فَتُؤْذُوهُ ، أَوْ : تَجْرَحُوهُ " .
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Qais that once the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) led us in prayer, and after the prayer he said, "Remain seated in your places." Then he came to the men first and said, "Allah Almighty has commanded me to instruct you to fear Allah and to speak the truth." Then he went to the women and said to them as well, "Allah Almighty has commanded me to instruct you to fear Allah and to speak the truth." Then he returned to the men and said, "When you go to the mosques and markets of the Muslims and you have arrows with you, keep their tips under control, lest they strike someone and you cause harm or injure someone."
