حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا لَيْثٌ ، عَن أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى ، عَن أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : مَرَّتْ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جِنَازَةٌ ، تُمْخَضُ مَخْضَ الزِّقِّ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " عَلَيْكُمْ الْقَصْدَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once some people passed quickly with a funeral in front of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Make calmness obligatory upon yourselves.
