حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَن الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَن شَقِيقٍ ، عَن أَبِي مُوسَى ، قَالَ : أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَرَأَيْتَ رَجُلًا أَحَبَّ قَوْمًا ، وَلَمَّا يَلْحَقْ بِهِمْ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ " . وَكَذَا حَدَّثَنَاهُ وَكِيعٌ ، عَن سُفْيَانَ ، عَن الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَن شَقِيقٍ ، عَن أَبِي مُوسَى . وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ أَيْضًا ، عَن أَبِي مُوسَى .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked: "If a person loves a people but cannot reach them, what is the ruling?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A person will be with those whom he loves." The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.
