حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَن عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَن أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ ، عَن أَبِي مُوسَى ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَبْسُطُ يَدَهُ بِالنَّهَارِ لِيَتُوبَ مُسِيءُ اللَّيْلِ ، وَيَبْسُطُ يَدَهُ بِاللَّيْلِ لِيَتُوبَ مُسِيءُ النَّهَارِ ، حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: At night, Allah Almighty stretches out His hand so that the one who sinned during the day may repent, and during the day He stretches out His hand so that the one who sinned at night may repent. This will continue until the sun rises from the west.
