حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعِي نَفَرٌ مِنْ قَوْمِي ، فَقَالَ : " أَبْشِرُوا ، وَبَشِّرُوا مَنْ وَرَاءَكُمْ ، أَنَّهُ مَنْ شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ صَادِقًا بِهَا ، دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ " ، فَخَرَجْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، نُبَشِّرُ النَّاسَ ، فَاسْتَقْبَلَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، فَرَجَعَ بِنَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِذًَا يَتَّكِلَ النَّاسُ ؟ قَالَ : فَسَكَتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I presented myself before the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and some people from my tribe were with me. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Accept the glad tidings and convey them to those who are left behind you, that whoever bears witness with a sincere heart that there is no god but Allah will enter Paradise." We left the presence of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and began to convey this glad tidings to the people. Suddenly, Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came before us. He took us back to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! In this way, people will rely on this and just sit back." Upon this, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent.
