حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، وَعَنْ الْقَاسِمِ التميمي ، عَنْ زَهْدَمٍ الْجَرْمِيِّ ، قَالَ : كَانَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ إخاء فذكر الحديث ومعناه.
Affan narrated to us, Wuhaib narrated to us, Ayyub narrated to us, from Abu Qilabah, and from al-Qasim al-Tamimi, from Zahdam al-Jarmi, who said: There was brotherhood between us and the Ash'ari. Then he mentioned the hadith and its meaning.
