It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty does not sleep, nor does it befit Him to sleep. He lowers and raises the scale. His veil is fire. If He were to remove His veil, everything within the reach of His sight would burn. Then Abu Ubaidah recited this verse: "It was proclaimed that blessing has been bestowed on whoever is in the fire and whoever is around it, and Allah, the Lord of all the worlds, is free from every defect."
