حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ . وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ دَيْلَمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : كَانَتْ اليهود يَتَعَاطَسُونَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجَاءَ أَنْ يَقُولَ لَهُمْ : يَرْحَمُكُمْ اللَّهُ ، فَكَانَ يَقُولُ لَهُمْ : " يَهْدِيكُمُ اللَّهُ ، وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Jews used to come to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and sneeze in his presence, hoping that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would say to them in response, "May Allah have mercy on you." But the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would respond to their sneezing by saying, "May Allah guide you and set your affairs right."
