حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا بُرَيْدُ بْنُ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَإِنَّهُ سَأَلَهُ سَائِلٌ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اشْفَعُوا تُؤْجَرُوا ، وَلْيَقْضِ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّهِ مَا أَحَبَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were sitting with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) when a man asked for something. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Intercede for him, you will be rewarded, and Allah will decree what He wills through the tongue of His Prophet.
