حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ : وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ، قَالَ : وُلِدَ لِي غُلَامٌ ، فَأَتَيْتُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَسَمَّاهُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، وَحَنَّكَهُ بِتَمْرَةٍ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that a child was born to me, so I took him to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) named him "Ibrahim" and gave him tahneek with a date.
