Musnad Ahmad
ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 1957

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الأَشْجَعِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ حُدَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ وُلِدَتْ لَهُ ابْنَةٌ ، فَلَمْ يَئِدْهَا ، وَلَمْ يُهِنْهَا ، وَلَمْ يُؤْثِرْ وَلَدَهُ عَلَيْهَا يَعْنِي : الذَّكَرَ , أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا الْجَنَّةَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has a daughter born to him, and he does not bury her alive, nor does he consider her inferior, nor does he prefer a son over her, then Allah Almighty will grant him entry into Paradise."
