It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Allah Almighty caused the Banu Hawazin to be defeated at Hunain, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a cavalry detachment under the leadership of Abu Amir Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) with a flag to pursue them. They set out, and I was also among those who went with them. He began to ride his horse at great speed. On the way, he encountered Ibn Waleed bin Summah, who martyred Hazrat Abu Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) and took possession of the flag. Seeing this, I launched a very fierce attack on Ibn Waleed, killed him, retrieved the flag, and returned with the people.
