حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا
هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ
مُجَالِدٍ ، عَنِ
الشَّعْبِيِّ ، قَالَ : كَتَبَ
عُمَرُ فِي وَصِيَّتِهِ :
أَنْ لَا يُقَرَّ لِي عَامِلٌ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ سَنَةٍ ، وَأَقِرُّوا الْأَشْعَرِيَّ يَعْنِي : أَبَا مُوسَى أَرْبَعَ سِنِينَ .
Imam Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote in his will that none of his governors should be kept in office for more than one year, except Abu Musa Ash'ari, who should be kept for four years.
