حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ حَدِيدٍ الْبَجَلِيِّ ، عَنْ صَخْرٍ الْغَامِدِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لِأُمَّتِي فِي بُكُورِهَا " ، قَالَ : وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً ، بَعَثَهَا أَوَّلَ النَّهَارِ ، وَكَانَ صَخْرٌ تَاجِرًا ، فَكَانَ لَا يَبْعَثُ غِلْمَانَهُ إِلَّا مِنْ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ ، فَكَثُرَ مَالُهُ ، حَتَّى كَانَ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ يَضَعُهُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Sakhr Ghamidi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: "O Allah, bless my Ummah in their early hours." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), whenever he sent out an army, would send it at the beginning of the day. The narrator of the hadith, Hazrat Sakhr (may Allah be pleased with him), was a merchant; he also used to send his workers early in the morning. As a result, he acquired so much wealth and property that he did not know where to keep it.
