حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبَسَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى ، وَجَوْفُ اللَّيْلِ الْآخِرُ أَجْوَبُهُ دَعْوَةً " ، قُلْتُ : أَوْجَبُهُ ؟ قَالَ : لَا ، بَلْ أَجْوَبُهُ ، يَعْنِي بِذَلِكَ الْإِجَابَةَ . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Abasah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The night prayer should be performed in sets of two rak'ahs, and supplication is most accepted in the last part of the night. The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.
