حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَرِيزٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدِيثَ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ السِّمْطِ حِينَ قَالَ لِعَمْرِو بْنِ عَبَسَةَ : حَدِّثْنَا حَدِيثًا لَيْسَ فِيهِ تَزَيُّدٌ وَلَا نُقْصَانٌ ، فَقَالَ عَمْرٌو : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُسْلِمَةً ، كَانَتْ فِكَاكَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ عُضْوًا بِعُضْوٍ " .
Sharhabeel bin Simt once requested Hazrat Amr bin Abasah (may Allah be pleased with him), "Tell us a hadith in which there is neither any addition nor any omission." He replied, "I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever frees a Muslim slave, for every limb of that slave, it will be a means of freedom from Hell for him."
