حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَتَاهُ قَوْمٌ بِصَدَقَتِهِمْ ، صَلَّى عَلَيْهِمْ ، فَأَتَاهُ أَبِي بِصَدَقَتِهِ ، فَقَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى آلِ أَبِي أَوْفَى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that when someone would bring the zakat of his wealth to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would supplicate for him. One day, I also brought the zakat of my father's wealth, so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah, send blessings upon the family of Abu Awfa."
