Husayn narrated to us, Jarir narrated to us, from Muhammad, from Abu Ubaydah ibn Hudhayfah, that a man said: I said: I ask about the hadith of Adi ibn Hatim while I am in the outskirts of Kufa, so should I not be the one who hears it from him? So I went to him and said: Do you know me? He said: Yes, and he mentioned the hadith. And he said in it: "Are you not a Rakusi?" I said: Yes. He said: "And are you not the leader of your people?" I said: Yes. He said: "And do you not take the mirba‘ (a quarter share)?" He said: I said: Yes. He said: "That is not permissible for you in your religion." He said: So my soul humbled itself, and he mentioned the hadith.
