حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الْجَعْدِ الْبَارِقِيَّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " الْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ : الْأَجْرُ ، وَالْمَغْنَمُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Urwah al-Bariqi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Goodness, blessing, reward, and spoils of war have been tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection."
