Hadith 19345

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ الْخَفَّافِ ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَيْفَ أَنْعَمُ وَصَاحِبُ الْقَرْنِ قَدْ الْتَقَمَ الْقَرْنَ ، وَحَنَى جَبْهَتَهُ ، وَأَصْغَى السَّمْعَ مَتَى يُؤْمَرُ ، قَالَ : فَسَمِعَ ذَلِكَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَشَقَّ عَلَيْهِمْ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قُولُوا : حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ " . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: How can I enjoy the blessings when the angel assigned to blow the trumpet has already placed the trumpet to his mouth, has lowered his forehead, and is listening attentively, waiting for when he will be commanded? This statement seemed very severe to the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Keep saying "Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel" (Allah is sufficient for us and He is the best disposer of affairs).
