Abdullah bin Buraidah narrates that Ubaidullah bin Ziyad had some doubts regarding the Hawd (Pond) of Kawthar. He summoned Hazrat Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) and inquired about it. He narrated to him an excellent hadith regarding this, upon hearing which he (Ubaidullah) became pleased and asked, "Did you hear this hadith directly from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He replied, "No, rather my brother narrated it to me."
