Hadith 19328

Maimun says that once I was sitting with Hazrat Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) when a man came from the end of the tent and asked him about an illness. During the conversation, he said that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do I not have more right over the Muslims than their own selves?" The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) replied, "Why not!" Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) held the hand of Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "Whoever I am beloved to, Ali should also be beloved to him." Maimun, through another chain of narration, also reports this addition: "O Allah! Love the one who loves Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), and be hostile to the one who is hostile to him."
