حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، وَمُؤَمَّلٌ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : يَا زَيْدُ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ ، أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُهْدِيَ لَهُ عُضْوُ صَيْدٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ ، فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْهُ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ مُؤَمَّلٌ : فَرَدَّهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَالَ : " إِنَّا حُرُمٌ " ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ .
Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him), "How did you tell me that in the state of Ihram, a gift was presented to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not accept it?" He said, "Yes! It is so."
