حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، وَعَفَّانُ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ . قَالَ بَهْزٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : حَدَّثَنِي حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْمِنْهَالِ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي كِنَانَةَ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ الْبَرَاءَ عَنِ الصَّرْفِ ، فَقَالَ : سَلْ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ ، فَإِنَّهُ خَيْرٌ مِنِّي وَأَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ زَيْدًا . فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ . .
Bahz and ‘Affan narrated to us, they said: Shu‘bah narrated to us. Bahz said in his narration: Habib ibn Abi Thabit narrated to me, he said: I heard Abu al-Minhāl, a man from Banu Kinānah, say: I asked al-Barā’ about exchange (al-sarf), and he said: Ask Zayd ibn Arqam, for he is better than me and more knowledgeable. He said: I asked Zayd, and he mentioned the hadith. .
