حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ حَبِيبٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ ، وَالْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ ، يقولان : نهى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الذَّهَبِ بِالْوَرِقِ دَيْنًا . .
It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) and Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the exchange of silver for gold on credit.
