حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ مَوْلَى قَرَظَةَ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا أَنْتُمْ بِجُزْءٍ مِنْ مِئَةِ أَلْفِ جُزْءٍ مِمَّنْ يَرِدُ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " ، قَالَ : فَقُلْنَا لِزَيْدٍ : وَكَمْ أَنْتُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ؟ قَالَ : فَقَالَ : بَيْنَ السِّتِّ مِئَةِ ، إِلَى السَّبْعِ مِئَةِ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, not even a hundred-thousandth part of those who come to me at the Pond of Kawthar will be present." We asked Hazrat Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him): "How many were you at that time?" He replied: "Between six and seven hundred."
