It is narrated from Hazrat Khuraim (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Deeds are of six types and people are of four types. Two things are obligatory, one thing is equal, one good deed is rewarded tenfold, and one good deed is rewarded seven hundredfold. The two obligatory things are these: whoever dies in such a state that he does not associate anyone with Allah, he will enter Paradise; and whoever dies associating partners with Allah, he will enter Hell. The equal thing is that whoever intends to do a good deed, and its feeling arises in his heart and it is in Allah’s knowledge, then one good deed is written for him; and whoever commits an evil deed, one evil deed is written for him. Whoever does one good deed, it is written tenfold for him; and whoever spends in the way of Allah, one good deed is counted up to seven hundredfold. As for the people, among them are some who have ease in this world and hardship in the Hereafter; some have hardship in this world and ease in the Hereafter; some have hardship in both this world and the Hereafter; and some have ease in both this world and the Hereafter.
