حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَوَادَةَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ مَوْلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ لِجَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ : " أَشْبَهْتَ خَلْقِي وَخُلُقِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ubaidullah bin Aslam (may Allah be pleased with him), who was a freed slave of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say to Hazrat Ja'far bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), "You resemble me in both physical appearance and character."
