It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): From which things does ghusl become obligatory? What is the ruling regarding the fluid that comes out after semen? What is the ruling about praying at home? What is the ruling about praying in the mosque and eating together with a menstruating woman? The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah does not shy away from the truth. When I go to my wife, at the time of ghusl I first perform wudu as I do for prayer, then I wash the private part, and then I perform ghusl. The fluid that comes out after semen is called “madhiy” and every healthy man experiences madhiy. On such an occasion, I wash the private part and only perform wudu. As for the question of praying in the mosque, you can see how close my house is to the mosque, but I prefer to pray in my house rather than in the mosque, except for the obligatory prayer. As for eating and drinking with a menstruating woman, you may eat and drink with her.
