It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) made the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) swear an oath about something. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not make (me) swear an oath."
