حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ عِرَاكٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مَرْوَانَ بِالْمَوْسِمِ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَطَعَ فِي مِجَنٍّ ، وَالْبَعِيرُ أَفْضَلُ مِنَ الْمِجَنِّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Marwan (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had the hand cut off for stealing a shield, so a camel is superior to a shield.
