Abu Bakr bin Abdur Rahman (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once Hazrat Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) entered the mosque and performed two light but complete rak'ahs, after which he sat down. Abu Bakr bin Abdur Rahman (may Allah have mercy on him) said to him, "O Abu al-Yaqzan! You performed these two rak'ahs very lightly?" He replied, "Did I fall short in any of its limits?" He said, "No, but you performed them very briefly." He replied, "I hastened in these rak'ahs due to forgetfulness, because I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say that a man performs prayer but only a tenth, a ninth, an eighth, or a seventh part of it is allotted to him, until he reached the last number."
