Hadith 18849

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا فِطْرٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حِينَ افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ حَتَّى حَاذَتْ إِبْهَامُهُ شَحْمَةَ أُذُنَيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raising his hands with the takbeer, until his thumbs reached the level of his earlobes.
