حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مُخَارِقٍ ، عَنْ طَارِقٍ ، قَالَ : قَدِمَ وَفْدُ أَحْمَسَ ، وَوَفْدُ قَيْسٍ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ابْدَءوا بِالأحْمَسِيِّينَ قَبْلَ الْقَيْسِيِّينَ " ثُمَّ دَعَا لأِحْمَسَ ، فَقَال : " اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ فِي أَحْمَسَ وَخَيْلِهَا وَرِجَالِهَا " . سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Tariq (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a delegation from Bajila came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), "Clothe the people of Bajila, and start with the people of Ahmas." A man from the tribe of Qais stayed behind, wanting to see whether the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would supplicate for them. He says that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated for them five times, saying, "O Allah, send blessings upon them."
