حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَن الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَن عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَن عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَن الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ : أَنُصَلِّي فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ ؟ قَالَ : " لَا " ، قَالَ : أَنُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ " ، قَالَ : أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ " ، قَالَ : أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ ؟ قَالَ : " لَا " . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَازِيٌّ ، وَكَانَ قَاضِيَ الرَّيِّ ، وَكَانَتْ جَدَّتُهُ مَوْلَاةً لِعَلِيٍّ ، أَوْ جَارِيَةً . قال عبد الله : قال أبي : وَرَوَاهُ عَنْهُ آدَمُ وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْرُوقٍ ، وَكَانَ ثِقَةً.
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that a person asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about performing ablution after eating camel meat. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Perform ablution. Then he was asked about praying in camel enclosures, so the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not pray in them. Then he was asked about praying in goat enclosures, so the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You may pray in them. Then it was asked: Should we perform ablution after eating goat meat? The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No.
