حَدِيثُ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُHadith of al-Bara’ ibn ‘Azib (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 18702

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَن عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَن الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَبَّرَ ، رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى نَرَى إِبْهَامَيْهِ قَرِيبًا مِنْ أُذُنَيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raising his hands at the beginning of the prayer, and at that time the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) thumbs were level with his earlobes.
