Hadith 18701

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَن أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، أَنَّهُ وَصَفَ السُّجُودَ ، قَالَ : " فَبَسَطَ كَفَّيْهِ ، وَرَفَعَ عَجِيزَتَهُ ، وَخَوَّى ، وَقَالَ : هَكَذَا سَجَدَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that on one occasion he demonstrated the method of prostration by performing it himself: he spread his hands, raised his buttocks, and kept his abdomen separate from the ground. Then he said that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also used to prostrate in this manner.
