Hadith 18626

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَن أَشْعَثَ ، عَن عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، عَن يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْبَرَاءِ ، عَن أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : لَقِيَنِي عَمِّي وَمَعَهُ رَايَةٌ ، فَقُلْتُ : أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ ؟ فَقَالَ : " بَعَثَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةَ أَبِيهِ ، فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَقْتُلَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day I met my uncle Harith bin Amr. He had a flag with him. I asked him, "Where are you going?" He replied, "The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has sent us to a man who, after his father's death, has married his father's wife (stepmother), and he has ordered me to behead him."
